 Emeril Lagasse- celebrity cook, Television personality, restaurateur, and author- came interested in cuisine when he was a boy growing up in Fall Swash, Mama. When he was a teenager he worked in black apron in a Portuguese bakery, where he learned the art of confection and chuck baking. When he graduated from high academy he was offered full education to New England Conservatory of Music, but rather he decided to come a professional cook. He earned his degree from the culinary fortification Johnson and Wales University which latterly bestowed an memorial Doctorate degree upon him.     After graduating, he traveled to France where he learned the art of classical French cookery. Upon his return to theU.S., he polished his chops at fine caffs in New York City, Philadelphia, and Boston before settling down as administrative cook at the Commander's Palace in New Orleans.
